My work in glass and clay often features flora and fauna, which I use as a template for exploring human psychology. I am interested in archetypes, and the way natural imagery speaks and relates to the deepest parts of our psyche. I am interested in the most secretive parts of people, those feelings that can feel a little more animal than the rest. I think, paradoxically, these are the parts that make us most human.

We are animals of the earth first and foremost, and in this sense nature is the beginning of human stories.
